- Trick dog training
- Conformation (showing)
- and more!
…but our dogs are companions first and foremost. They spend even more time hiking, swimming, going for a SUP, or keeping the couch warm.
Updates & News
May 2026: Lure coursing has started up for the year. After the first two trial weekends of the season, three of the Odie x Cipher pups have new titles:
Brew (Lithica Wanna Bewitchu): Field ChampionGemma (Lithica Andare Enigma): Field Champion ExcellentRipley (Lithica Believe It or Not): Field ChampionApril 2026: Brew completed her cardiac, vision, and hearing testing. All results are normal and published in the OFA database.

January 2026: The Odie x Cipher litter celebrated their second birthday.
Gemma, Brew, and Jo are pointed in conformation. Additionally, in birth order:
- Gemma: finished 2025 as CKC’s #1 Lure Coursing Hound, becoming a Field Champion handily and earning a Best in Field along the way. She is also a Breed Hunt Winner in open field coursing.
- Brew is enjoying scent detection, with her Excellent title and Master Containers in CKC, plus Level 3 and Ranger 2 in C-WAGS. She became an Expert Trick Dog at a young age, levelled up to Sprinter this year, and is a ton of fun to train in Barn Hunt (RATN with no shortage of enthusiasm).
- Jo was Best of Breed in the lure coursing trial at the 2025 National Whippet Club of Canada specialty and #4 Lure Coursing Hound in CKC Top Dogs standings, also finishing her Field Championship in the process. Jo dabbled in ASFA lure coursing, too, and is an ASFA multi-Best in Field winner. She picked up two High in Trials while completing her Companion Dog in CKC obedience and has a Novice title in rally obedience.
- Tosca has an important, full-time job as a greeter in a local medical practice, but we still found time to bring her out and earn her Novice Sprinter title. It is wonderful to know that the entire litter is keen on chasing the lure, just like we hoped!
- Ripley had a great start this year, debuting with a Best of Breed in his first lure coursing trial and getting enough events under his belt to have a Novice Courser title to show for it. I’m excited to see him out on the field again this year.
